June 2008
Greetings One and All
Thanks to all of you who have been taking
the music home with you and for
your continued support ...
I begin by sending out love to my dear
Australian friend and muso Craig Wrigley
My thoughts are with you
Solo Acoustic Summer Family Shows
I continue my tradition of Summer Family Shows.
I appear at the Howe Island Branch of the Kingston Frontenac
Public Library on Tuesday August 5th at 4 pm, the Central Branch
on Wednesday August 13 at 2pm and the Napanee Branch of the Lennox
& Addington Library on Wednesday August 20 at 2pm (this show is
a party for children who have been part of the Summer Reading Club
The Fireweed show in April with the Kingston-based choir
'She Sings' was a great success. Our thanks to Martha Duncan
the musical director and all of the women of "She Sings"
for a beautiful evening. The ethereal harmonies on
Heaven's Restaurant were angelic and memorable as was
the premiere of the song 'This Girl Danced Spring'
a collaboration between myself (lyrics) and Martha Duncan
Fireweed rereleased a 10th
Anniversary Remastered re-issue of its eponymous CD
and plans to follow up with a growing number of shows.
The FullMoon festival is on June 14th, the Hope and Anchor
on Treasure Island on August 16th (along with a possible
appearance at the Amherst Island Radio Benefit show that afternoon
Fireweed also appears at Blue Skies Music Festival in August.
As ever, I'm keen to do more houseconcerts, let me know
if you're interested in making something happen.
Meantime, as Neil Young says,
"Live music is better, bumper stickers should be issued."
