Summer 2010

Greetings One and All

Thanks to all of you who have been taking the music home with you and for your continued support ...

Happy Summer. I'm taking a break from recording "What's the big Idea." (Most musicians are on the road and busy. Things will continue in the fall. I'm hoping to have the record out by Christmas. Check out the latest mix of "One for the Money" on the website (music). I'm about to attend Blue Skies Music Festival. Fireweed are doing a workshop. I also do my annual summer library series tour. Shows in Cloyne: Tues Aug 3, 10:30 am PLUS Pittsburg Township Branch at 2pm. Also Thursday August 12: Kingscourt Branch at 10:30am PLUS Wolfe Island at 2:30pm. I was successful in getting Year Two funding with my Ontario Arts Council "Artists in Education" Grant.  I will continue my artist-in-rez at the Yarker Family School.  In addition to recording a children's record (I'm calling it a Family Album) called "What's the Big Idea?!?" I'm also compiling a set of Audio Archives for the school, library and community under the categories of 'Songs' 'Stories' and 'Sounds'

I'm also working on demos for a Canadian Icons Cover album as well as demos for another solo recording (very much back-burner projects at this point) Stay tuned ...

With thanks

Gary
